What is laser hair removal?

What should I expect during a laser hair removal treatment?

During your treatment, you and your provider wear goggles to protect your eyes from the laser. You recline on a treatment bed while your provider uses a handheld device to direct the laser over your skin. You may notice a warming or snapping sensation on your skin as the laser zaps your hair follicles. Most patients tolerate the treatment well.

Most patients have a series of six laser hair removal treatments. Your treatments will take place every 4-6 weeks. You can apply a topical anesthetic before your appointments, and your provider will give you an ice pack to hold against your skin before and after they go over the area with the laser.
